The park has a number of small mammals including the red panda, leopard cat, barking deer, yellow-throated marten, wild boar, pangolin, and pika. Larger mammals include the Himalayan black bear, leopard, etc.

To reach Singalila National Park, make your way to Manebhanjan, a small town situated approximately 26 kilometers away from Darjeeling. From Manebhanjan, you can hire a local guide or join a trekking group to embark on the Singalila trek.

The Singalila Ridge is a north–south mountain ridge running from northwestern West Bengal through Sikkim in the Indian part of the Himalayas.

Singalila National Park is home to a variety of low-growing flowering plants, including prominent species such as aconites, primulas, asters, geraniums, cotoneasters, Arisaema, and mucinosis. Additionally, the park boasts an impressive collection of 18 recorded species of rhododendrons.

Singalila National Park experiences a pleasant climate characterized by warm and humid yet cool conditions. In April, the hottest month, temperatures range from highs of 102°F (39°C) to lows of 77°F (25°C). Conversely, during January, the coldest month, temperatures vary from highs of 78°F (25°C) to lows of 50°F (10°C).

Sandakphu (3,636 m) — the highest point in West Bengal. It belongs to the Singalila mountain ranges. The Singalila Ridge is a north-south mountain ridge running from northwestern West Bengal.
